What does + Resume add?

Your resume adds another perspective to any assessment level. Helping Hands can compare the professional story presented on LinkedIn with the evidence and accomplishments in your resume. Adding a resume does not require a LinkedIn data export.

Use the + Resume option on any assessment card. You can still change that choice before creating the assessment.

What turnaround should I expect?

Each assessment is individually reviewed. Turnaround begins after all required evidence is uploaded and you select Submit evidence for review.

LinkedIn Profile

Typically 1-2 business days.

Profile Insights

Typically 2-3 business days.

Career Intelligence / Resume-Aligned

Typically 3-5 business days.

These are service expectations rather than guarantees. Incomplete evidence, unusual file issues, or periods of high demand can extend the timeline. You will receive an email when your report is published.

How to prepare your evidence

Use these instructions after choosing an assessment. Keep an untouched copy of your LinkedIn files for yourself. Merifact Profile will screen uploaded archives through the privacy firewall.

1. Capture your LinkedIn profile screenshots

  1. Open your LinkedIn profile on a desktop computer.
  2. Expand About, Experience, Education, Skills, Recommendations, Volunteer Experience, and any other collapsed sections.
  3. Capture clear screenshots from the top of the profile through the final visible section.
  4. Save the images as PNG or JPG files in the order they appear.

2. Save the LinkedIn-generated profile PDF

  1. Open your LinkedIn profile.
  2. Select More beneath the introduction section.
  3. Select Save to PDF.
  4. Save and upload the LinkedIn-generated PDF without editing it.

3. Request your LinkedIn data export

  1. Open LinkedIn Settings & Privacy.
  2. Select Data privacy, then Get a copy of your data.
  3. Choose the Complete archive when preparing for Career Intelligence. Follow the requested Basic/core evidence list for Profile Insights.
  4. Submit the request and watch the email account associated with LinkedIn for download notices.
LinkedIn normally delivers the export in stages. The first email often arrives within a couple of hours and provides the smaller/basic archive. A later email provides the complete archive after LinkedIn finishes preparing it-commonly several hours later and often near the 24-hour mark. Do not assume the first download is the complete export. Wait for the second completion email when your assessment requires the complete data archive.

Download each ZIP before its link expires. Keep the ZIP files unchanged and clearly distinguish the basic archive from the complete archive.

4. Prepare your resume

Upload your current resume or CV for assessments that include alignment analysis. PDF or DOCX is preferred. Review it first to ensure it reflects the version you want compared with LinkedIn.

Privacy review

Review all evidence before uploading. Remove information you do not want considered. Complete LinkedIn exports can contain private or sensitive data; the assessment should use only the evidence appropriate for the selected service.
